SSET's ITI Shivabasava Nagar Belgaum-10 initially started with four trades viz; Electrician, Fitter, Electronic Mechanic and Mechanic(Radio&TV).The Institute steadily grown up and two more trades were added namely Machinist and Mechanic(Motor Vehicle). During the academic year 1996 making a total strength of 264 students.The admission process is online 75% seats will be from govt and 25% seats are from management, the eligibility for admission is, the candidate must pass his SSLC from recognised board and all courses are of 2 years duration, after completing these courses candidates can directly take admission to second year diploma and after completing diploma candidate can take admission to second year BE, for that R N Shetty polytechnic and SGBIT are at our campus only, the training will be given using all modern machineries and equipments as per NCVT norms. here all the courses are of NSQF LEVEL 5, to make familiar with industries all second year trainees will be taken for industrial visit and also trainees will be deputed for different industries for on job training, in addition to that experts from industries will be called for conducting seminars, for physical fitness of trainees sports will be conducted regularly, for senior trainees campus interview will be conducted from different companies every year
THIS ITI is 38 years old till today around 5000 candidates completed training and got settled their life. This is AN ISO29990:2010 Certified Institute There are nearly 16 well qualified, highly dedicated and well experienced training Staff to impart Training and there is an adequate number of supporting Office Staff. The Staff Students ration is 1:20, the ITI has been encouraging and sponsoring the staff for AVTS, CTI & NIMI training.
Most of the trainees from our ITI are working in Central Govt. Establishments, such as Indian Railways, Hindustan Latex Limited KAIGA, and in the State Govt. Establishments. Such as KPTCL, KSRTC, Private and Public Sectors such as HAL, BEL, BHEL, INDAL, APC etc.
